94.7, which had been decreasing in my esteem has won me over again by launching 94/7 "2" on am at 910 am. Since my car and work are decidedly low tech, this now provides me an opportunity to listen to all NW bands all the time.
So in addition to streaming 94/7 2 or hearing it on HD, you can listen to it the old fashioned way on 910 AM.
I love this channel! Fire Theft, Decembrists, Modest Mouse, David Bazan...those are just some of the big names you will hear on this channel. And according to one 94/7 dj No Go Know is his second favorite NW band (next to MM)...so yes, you will hear UR releases on this channel.
Not all of the material is great, but some of it is really fantastic and unlike the FM version there are virtually no repeats throughout the day. because, really, how many times can you listen to that broken bells song without wanting to jump in to the willamette.
